<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition with a skin-tightening effect. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed are a mixture with a skin-tightening effect comprising 10 to 80 wt.% polysaccharide, desirably an alginate, of a molecular weight of below 600,000 Da, desirably below 400,000 Da, more desirably below 200,000 Da, 15 to 75 wt.% polyhydroxylating agent selected from sugars and derivatives thereof, concretely sugar esters and sugar ethers, desirably sorbitol, 3 to 15 wt.% polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinylpyrrolidone, and 0 to 25 wt.% cellulose or cellulose derivative such as carboxymethylcellulose or hydroxymethylcellulone and a cosmetic composition containing the mixture. This cosmetic composition can be used for the progressive mechanical smoothing of the surface of the skin with extreme comfort of use can satisfactorily fix a makeup product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
