PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection circuit of a DC-DC converter which can properly detect the disconnection failure of a gate signal line. SOLUTION: When the disconnection failure does not occur in the second gate signal line 22, a gate signal B is delayed with respect to a drive signal A by a gate capacitor 27, and the gate signal B reaches a reference voltage V<SB>ref</SB>after a timer signal D has fallen to a Lo-level. When the disconnection failure has occurred, the gate signal B is not influenced by the gate capacitor 27, rapidly becomes large without causing a delay, and when the timer signal D is in a Hi-level, the gate signal reaches the reference voltage V<SB>ref</SB>. As a result, a Lo-level disconnection determination signal E is output from an NAND circuit 31, and the occurrence of disconnection is detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
