PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment which can hoist soil by means of a bucket, while ensuring the safety of a worker. SOLUTION: A guide rail 40 for guiding the ascent/descent of the bucket 30 is fixed to the inside surface of a vertical hole H which is excavated in ground G. The bucket 30 is supported in the state of being suspended from a hook 25 of a hoist 20 via a supporting cable 31, and a rail catcher 44 is connected to the guide rail 40, so that the bucket 30 can ascend/descend along the guide rail 40. When the rail catcher 44 has been pulled out from the guide rail 40, the bucket 30 moves along a monorail 14 along with the hoist 20. One end of the supporting cable 31 is connected to a bell crank-like braking member 33 which is attached to the bucket 30. When the supporting cable 31 is broken, the attitude of the braking member 33 is converted into a braking one, and the braking member 33 is engaged with a horizontal rod 42 of the ladder-like guide rail 40, so as to prevent the fall of the bucket 30.
