PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling the supply of molten metal into a mold for gravity casting, and a metallic mold for pneumatic tire manufactured with the apparatus for controlling the supply of the molten metal into the mold for gravity casting with which the entraining of the air when the molten metal is filled up, is prevented without using a special apparatus or facility and the defected casting is efficiently prevented and the quality can be stabilized. SOLUTION: In supplying sprue hole parts 6a,6b in a runner 6, a hopper state molten metal pouring basin part 13 is set and further, in this molten metal pouring basin part 13, a detecting means 14 constituted with a contacting type or a non-contacting type level sensor etc., for detecting the molten metal quantity (molten metal surface level) in the molten metal pouring basin part 13, is arranged. Based on the detecting signal from this detecting means 14, a driving control in a tilting-driving device 16 of a tilting type molten metal supplying furnace 4 is performed through the control unit 15.
