In a two-stroke gas fuel internal combustion engine of crankcase-compression type, a combustion chamber (18) is formed in a dome shape and the downstream end opening (4d) of a fuel feed passage (4c) is positioned at generally central upper part of the combustion chamber (18). The opening (4d) is opened and closed by a poppet valve type fuel feed valve (20) in which an umbrella-like valve plate (20b) is formed on a valve stem (20a).
