Disclosed is a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative having a polymerizable group which has good mechanical properties such as heat resistance and abrasion resistance and enables to obtain a cured product having a low refractive index. Also disclosed are a resin composition containing such a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative having a polymerizable group, and a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative which is useful as a reaction intermediate for production of a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative having a polymerizable group or the like. Specifically disclosed are a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative represented by the general formula (I) below, a fluorine-containing adamantane derivative having a polymerizable group represented by the general formula (II) below, and a resin composition containing the fluorine-containing adamantane derivative having a polymerizable group. In the formulae below, R<SUP>1</SUP> and R<SUP>2</SUP> may independently represent a hydrogen atom; n represents an integer of not less than 0; X<SUP>1</SUP> may represent a polymerizable group expressed as the formula (III-a) below; Y may represent a hydrogen atom; and s and t respectively represent an integer of 1-15 and u represents an integer of 0-14, while satisfying the following relation: s + t + u = 16.
