An automatic watching method according to the reservation of a broadcasting program is provided to switch a current channel to a channel which broadcasts a reserved broadcasting program automatically although a user does not perform additional device operation when reservation time arrives and allow the user to view the corresponding broadcasting program automatically. A microcomputer outputs an OSD(On Screen Display) picture for inputting information of a broadcasting program according to the reservation watching selection of a user(S5,S10). The microcomputer stores broadcasting program reservation watching information about a channel, a date, a time, a period, and a program name inputted by the user(S15,S20). The microcomputer judges whether reservation viewing start time arrives on the basis of the broadcasting program reservation watching information stored in the memory(S25,S30). If the reservation watching start time arrives, the microcomputer switches a current channel to a reserved channel, outputs a broadcasting program of the corresponding channel until reservation watching end time, and simultaneously displays that the channel is switched on an OSD during uniform time according to the reservation watching (S35,S40,S45).
