<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally new harmful substance-decomposing room which requires no installation of a special device, shows an excellent decomposing action of harmful substances, and makes the room itself have a decomposing function for harmful substances. <P>SOLUTION: This room is surrounded by an internal wall 2, and at the same time, is partitioned and formed by a ceiling 3 and a floor 4. The floor keeps a facility apparatus 5 installed and has a space 6 in the height direction from the facility apparatus to the ceiling. The room incorporates a photocatalyst film containing a photocatalyst at least on the internal wall surface. A water feeding means 7 which feeds moisture to the photocatalyst film, and a light source 10 which feeds a photon of an excitation wavelength band required for a photocatalyst reaction for the photocatalyst film are arranged.
