<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film and a polarizing plate which have an excellent optical compensation function for a liquid crystal display device, in particular an OCB mode liquid crystal display device having a fast response speed and a moving image fitness and is capable of further contributing to thinning of the liquid crystal display device, and to provide an OCB mode liquid crystal display device having a high display quality, a fast response speed, a moving image fitness and a high transmittance. <P>SOLUTION: The optical compensation film is a roll-shaped long-size optical compensation film, wherein values of Re(0°), Re(40°), Re(-40°) respectively fall into the range of 37±6 nm, 50±6 nm and 124±12 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
