PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a finger from being put on the surface of a lens which forms the image of field in an imaging apparatus which picks up the image of field. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1, which is an example of the imaging apparatus, includes a light condensing part 3, a light emitting part 5 and a release shutter part 7. The release shutter part 7 is provided on a side where the light condensing part 3 is positioned in the digital camera 1. By setting a position where the release shutter part 7 is provided to the side where the light condensing part 3 is provided, the release shutter part 7 is operated by the forefinger of a hand supporting the light condensing part 3 side during photographing, so that the forefinger is prevented from being put on the surface of the light condensing part 3.
