PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional DC-DC converter of a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: In the bidirectional DC-DC converter, outputs of a high voltage detection circuit 12 and a low voltage detection circuit 15 are inputted in a high voltage side error amplification circuit 50 and a low voltage side error amplification circuit 51 that are provided separately with polarities inverted from each other. The output of the high voltage side error amplification circuit 50 or the output of the low voltage side error amplification circuit 51 is selected by a conversion direction switching circuit 22. Its output is inputted in a control circuit 25 from a common PWM comparison circuit 21 for voltage-raising/lowering operation so that a first switching means 5 and a second switching means 10 are driven. Thus, a conventional inversion circuit is not necessary and only one complex 3-terminal switch is required, thus achieving a bidirectional DC-DC converter of a simple configuration as a whole.
