PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and effectively monitor content whether being displayed as scheduled. SOLUTION: A control unit 210 of a controller 200 is designed to perform a display control process in a content display system 100. A reproduction monitoring process is further performed in an execution process of the display control process, and the content is monitored whether being displayed as scheduled or not. In the reproduction monitoring process, a pattern corresponding to the content is overlayed on the content in a display period correlated to a display period of the content, and is presented for display in a display device 300. On the other hand, a pattern is detected via the display to be performed by the display device 300 in a detecting device 400. The detected pattern is compared with a pattern overlayed by the content by a comparing unit 240.
