PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image communication apparatus allowing an external memory to be mounted which saves image data in the external memory with respect to each of user's desired application or in a priority order, etc. SOLUTION: In the image communication apparatus allowing the external memory to be mounted, a controller 1 writes external memory use setting information in the mounted external memory through an external memory controller 11, saves image data in each use of the external memory having the written use setting information as external memory use setting information, saves image data in the external memory having written priority order setting information at each priority order, thereby saving the image data in the external memory in each use of the user's desired priority order.
