PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration support device capable of maintaining and improving the precision of calibration while taking into a variation in density among pages of calibration sheets. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus being an object of calibration forms a plurality of calibration sheets including a plurality of color patches, and at least a part of color patches formed on the plurality of calibration sheets is taken as a variation confirmation patch group, and a temporal variation in the density of color patches formed on respective calibration sheets is estimated on the basis of the variation confirmation patch group, and the number of pages which should be formed until a calibration sheet meeting a prescribed condition can be formed is estimated on the basis of the estimated temporal variation and stored as the required number of pages.
