PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room entrance/exit managing system which positively prevents an unauthorized person disguising as an authorized person from entering/leaving a managing zone, and quickly detects the existence of the unauthorized person disguising as the authorized person. SOLUTION: According to the room entrance/exit managing system, a host device 10 places a call to a cellular phone 9 of an applicant who wants to enter/leave the managing zone 2, and requires the applicant to input a code number. If an adequate code number is input from the cellular phone 9, an electronic lock 7 mounted in a door 6 of the managing zone 2 is temporarily unlocked. If it is determined that the applicant is a suspicious person due to failure etc. of input of the adequate code number, the suspicious person is confined in an area 1 or in the managing zone 2.
