<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high (desired) S/N, even when the image luminance of a screen (transmission pixel) is low. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device (10) is provided which comprises a light-emitting means (15) constituted of a plurality of light-emitting elements; a luminance control means (13B) for emitting each of the light-emitting elements in accordance with a duty ratio by setting the duty ratio of a light emission time and a light non-emission time within one reference time section (one frame), according to the luminance information to be used for the light-emitting elements of the light-emitting means; a transmission control means (13C) for transmission controlling the transmission information by making the light-emitting elements flicker, according to the transmission information of visible light communication: and a selection means (13D) for selecting a light emitting element of which the light emission time, based on the luminance information within one frame, is equal to or longer than the light emission time required for transmitting the transmission information of visible light communication within a single frame, as a light-emitting element which is to be used for the transmission of the visible light communication within the single frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
