<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system and a working machine to conduct the start control of an engine for preventing theft. <P>SOLUTION: When a key ID is inputted to an immobilizer unit (S11:Yes), determination is made whether or not the key ID is a previously registered one (S12). If yes (S12:Yes), the unit ID is read (S14) and transmitted to an engine controller (S15). In case unit ID transmitted from the immobilizer unit is received (S16:Yes), the engine controller determines whether or not the received unit ID is the previously registered unit ID (S17).
