<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for improving the efficiency of a power supply system with power supplied by a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A supply voltage utilized for a drive control circuit of a voltage regulator changes in connection with a change in an input voltage. By such a constitution, in one embodiment, the supply voltage utilized for the circuit to drive a control terminal of an output transistor of a regulating circuit may be changed in connection with the change in the input voltage. For example, a relation of an inverse number may be established between an input voltage level and a voltage level used for a gate drive circuit which controls a gate of the regulator output transistor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
