PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a fixing device equipped with a cooling air blowing mechanism which has constitution requiring no heater holder and is free of a shift between a duct opening portion and a roller opening portion (air intake) and a decrease in cooling efficiency. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having the fixing device which clamps and presses a transfer material carrying toner with a fixing roller and a pressure roller is characterized in that a heater is incorporated in one or both of the fixing roller and pressure roller and a duct which sends air into the rollers or discharges air in the rollers is provided and holds a heater.
