PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pink composite material having excellent corrosion resistance and aesthetic properties, and to provide an ornament. SOLUTION: The composite material comprises one or more first phases essentially consisting of Pt and one or more second phases comprising Cu, and in which the content of Pt is 40 to 75 wt.% in the whole composition. Alternatively, the composite material further comprises a third phase, in a space between the first phase and the second phase, contacted with both the phases, and containing an intermetallic compound formed of Pt and Cu, and the maximal value of the reflectivity of natural light in the surface lies in the range of 560 to 640 nm in wavelength.
