METHOD OF INHIBITING ELUTION OF HARMFUL TRACE ELEMENTS AND ELUTION INHIBITOR FOR ADDING TO COAL FOR USE IN THE INHIBITING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inhibiting the elution of harmful trace elements from combustion residues of coal. SOLUTION: The method of inhibiting the elution of harmful trace elements is a method of inhibiting the elution of harmful trace elements from combustion residues of coal by adding an elution inhibitor for adding to coal to coal as fuel wherein as the elution inhibitor for adding to coal is used an elution inhibitor comprising as the main component one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of limestone, slaked lime and quicklime and the elution inhibitor for adding to coal is preferably added in an amount of a range of not less than 0.3 pt.mass to less than 10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass coal. The addition of the elution inhibitor may be carried out within a combustion boiler.
