PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an external wall capable of constructing a finish layer for remodeling on an existing external wall constructed by arranging ALC boards without breaking the ALC boards. SOLUTION: Primer 5 is applied on a front face of the ALC board 4. A sealing material 10 and a putty material 11 having a 50% modulus value of 0.2 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or less are applied on a step part 4c of the ALC board 4 by ironing. A net 6 is fixed to the external wall 1 by a washer 9 and a flat countersunk head screw 8. Elastic adhesive 13 having a 50% modulus value of 0.2 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or less is applied on the ALC board so as to cover the net 6 over with the adhesive. A tile 12 is pressed against an elastic adhesive layer 13 and is glued on it. If a building skeleton moves when earthquake occurs, the ALC board 4 follows its moving, and stress applied on the ALC board 4 is reduced to prevent breakage of the ALC board 4.
