PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erosion with fluidized molten metal and to avoid the delay of a production plan and the raise of the cost by extending the service life of the wall surface of a member constituted of a casting apparatus, such as a vessel for holding the molten metal, a pipe body for forming the flowing passage of the molten metal, etc. SOLUTION: In the structure for member wall surface in the casting apparatus, in which the member is constituted of the vessel for holding the molten metal, the pipe body for forming the flowing passage of the molten metal and a mold for forming a cavity to which the molten metal is introduced by the pipe body, and a casting is produced by introducing the molten metal in the vessel into the cavity of the mold by the pipe body; on the wall surface of the member constituting the casting apparatus, a material mainly containing SiO<SB>2</SB>is melt and stuck under high temperature state to form a sintered layer.
