PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic atomizer capable of reducing noise in operation and discharging a charged liquid fine particle without disturbing the stream of ionic wind. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizer 16 comprises a discharge electrode 2 to the surface of which a liquid is supplied by a liquid supply means 1, a counter electrode 4 arranged to face the discharge electrode 2, a container 3 housing the discharge electrode 2 and the counter electrode 4 inside and a voltage impressing part 5 for impressing high voltage between the discharge electrode 2 and the counter electrode 4, wherein the charged liquid fine particles M produced by electrostatically atomizing a liquid held on the discharge electrode 2 by the impression of high voltage is carried and discharged on ionic wind generated toward the counter electrode 4 from the discharge electrode 2. A discharging cylindrical part 9 for passing the ionic wind from the counter electrode 4 toward the down stream side is integrally formed with the tip part of the container 3 and a sound absorbing duct 7 is formed by providing a sound absorbing structure in the integrated discharging cylindrical part 9 and the container 3.
