摘要 The method can be used to examine a non-homogenous diffusing object by illumination of the object with a continuous light using a light source. It firstly consists of reconstruction of spatial mapping in three dimensions, an attenuation variable (k1) representing diffusion and absorption non-homogeneities of the object, by resolution of a diffusion equation V<SUP>2</SUP>F( r<SUB>s</SUB>, r) - k<SUP>t2</SUP>( r)F( r<SUB>s</SUB>, r) = A<SUB>s</SUB>d( r- r<SUB>s</SUB>). In the diffusion equation, A8 is a constant, F is the spatial coordinate of an arbitrary point in the mesh of a volume at least partially surrounding the object and rs is the spatial coordinate of the light source. Transfer functions (F) of an equation used for reconstruction of the distribution of fluorophores integrate the attenuation variable (K1) thus reconstructed.
