A system and a method for processing payment using a phone are provided to process the payment conveniently without any payment error generated from incorrect manipulation during a payment process using the phone by reading payment tool information through a card reader installed to the phone, and processing payment information corresponding to a member shop terminal after providing the payment tool information to a VAN(Value Added Network) company. A phone(300) is equipped with the card reader, requests goods or service requested by connecting a call to a member shop, and transmits card information read through the card reader to a VAN company server. A member shop terminal receives the goods or service by connecting the call with the phone, and transmits payment information corresponding to the received request to the VAN company server. The VAN company server generates/transmits a payment approval request message to a financial company server(165) corresponding to the card information by receiving/using the payment information and the card information. The VAN company server receives a payment approval message from the financial company server, and transmits the received message to the member shop terminal and/or the phone. |
