An external dual monitor system for vehicles is provided to fix driver's sight to the front during travel, and to permit the driver to detect front, rear and side conditions through a dual display. An external dual monitor system for vehicles includes a side camera, a pair of multi-functional display devices(40), a mounting unit(50), and a controller(60). The side camera is mounted on a side view mirror, facing rearward. The display devices are mounted on a dash board(3), and output images in accordance with signals output from front and rear cameras and the side camera. The mounting unit has a surface on which the display devices are joined. The controller is arranged to control the operation of the front and the rear cameras and the side camera. The display devices output images of the left camera through the left display device and images of the right camera through the right display device. The display devices are attached onto the dash board, and adjustable in vertical and horizontal directions.
