<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting device capable of suppressing deterioration which is particularly remarkable in the outer periphery of a light emitting region. <P>SOLUTION: An electron injection layer 6' contains at least one of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, an alkali metal compound, or an alkaline earth metal compound.
