<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of preventing a user from turning off power through misrecognition of no power application when data during processing waiting exist. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU discriminates whether or not a shift time leading to a power-saving mode elapses with no application of an operation to an operation display section or the shift time leading to the power-saving mode elapses with no processing applied to access processing and FAX receiving processing from a host computer in S1, when the shift time elapses, the CPU discriminates whether or not document data whose processing is awaited exist in S2, when no document data exist, the CPU shifts to a first power-saving mode in S5. When the CPU discriminates the existence of the document data whose processing is awaited in S5, the CPU discriminates whether or not a difference time between a processing start time of the document data whose processing is awaited and a present time is a preset threshold value or over in S3, and when the difference time is the threshold value or over, the CPU shifts to a second power-saving mode while informing of presence of the data whose processing is awaited in S4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
