METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR PROLONGING ELIMINATION HALF-TIME OF BIOACTIVE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for prolonging the elimination half-time of a therapeutic or a diagnostic substance.

SOLUTION: A conjugate comprises a peptide having a specific amino acid sequence designed so as to have an ability to bind to a plasma protein (immunoglobulin) in which the peptide is conjugated to the therapeutic or diagnostic substance. The elimination half-time of the conjugate exceeds that of an unconjugated therapeutic or diagnostic substance. The method for prolonging the elimination half-time of the therapeutic or diagnostic substance comprises utilizing the conjugate.
