<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately align chromaticity in a semiconductor light emitting device even if a resistor for controlling a current is incorporated into a package to obtain white light. <P>SOLUTION: Light emitting diodes D1-D3 and chip resistors R1-R3 connected in parallel with the light emitting diodes D1-D3, respectively, are arranged inside the package 2. The resistance values of the chip resistors R1-R3 correspond to light intensities of the light emitting diodes D1-D3, respectively, in order to control currents in the light emitting diodes D1-D3, respectively. The light intensities of the light emitting diodes D1-D3 when predetermined currents are caused to flow therein, respectively, and the chromaticity at the simultaneous emission, are measured. Based on the measurement results, the currents in the light emitting diodes D1 and D3 are increased from the predetermined current values to change the resistance values of the chip resistors R1 and R3 so that white light may be emitted at the simultaneous emission of the light emitting diodes D1-D3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
