PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display system with an interface allowing a user to overview at a glance features of a plurality of spots such as stores and facilities on a displayed map. SOLUTION: The map display system comprises: a display range input part 12 for receiving information specifying a map display range; a description information acquisition part 16 for acquiring a plurality of pieces of description information describing the spots within the display range from a Web server 30; a feature extraction part 20 for obtaining a feature word indicative of a feature of each spot and information indicative of the intensity of the feature based on the description information acquired by the description information acquisition part 16; a clustering processing part 24 for clustering the plurality of spots based on the feature intensity and a variable indicative of a position of each spot; and a map display part 26 for displaying on the map a map showing a common feature area including the spots clustered by the clustering processing part 24.
