PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress breeding by thinning black adjacent color data and enable high-quality recording not involving image deterioration such as tone skipping in an ink-jet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: When color data is present merely in one pixel adjacent to a black image, and no color data is present in the pixels adjacent to the pixel in the upper/lower and left/right directions, the isolated point pixel in which the color data are present merely in the pixel is detected (E1001). Then, the dots other than the isolated point are thinned out (D1015, D1016, D1017). As a result, breeding at the boundary of colors and black can be suppressed, and good recording in which tones are maintained as the whole image can be performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
