<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device which is capable of constituting a key detection switch mechanism and a two-motion type safety mechanism with a small number of components, and miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: The steering lock device has a key detection switch 50 capable of changing the conductive state by the movement of a key responsive piece 28, a link 42 and a needle 52 of the key detection switch by the key insertion in a cylinder 16. A turn preventive unit 36 which is engaged with the link 42 when the cylinder 16 is turned from the operational position to the locking position to prevent the turn of the cylinder 16 to the locking position, and a bypass 39 for permitting the turn of the cylinder 16 from the operational position to the locking position by disengaging the link 42 from the turn preventive unit 36 by the backward movement of the cylinder 16 are provided on the cylinder 16. A sliding end 44 of the link 42 and the key responsive piece 28 are urged inward of the cylinder 16 by a spring 54 of the key detection switch 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
