PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, capable of attaining a display of high efficiency and high contrast, and adjusting a characteristic difference in emission efficiency, emission half life, driving current density, or the like between sub-pixels having different display colors. SOLUTION: In the display device comprising a substrate, a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, and a circular polarization member provided on the plurality of pixels, in which each pixel is composed of a plurality of sub-pixels having different luminescent colors, and the transmittance to the polarization member is larger in at least one luminescent color selected from a plurality of the luminescent colors than the other luminescent colors, a light absorption member is disposed on the sub-pixels showing the other luminescent colors except the sub-pixel showing the selected luminescent color, and the light absorption member absorbs light of the selected luminescent color.
