PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare content by using a character set desired by a creator. SOLUTION: Characters unintended by a content creator are prevented from being included in content when preparing content data by allowing a converting part 411 to analyze/inspect that characters included in described content data of a described content data memory 408 are included in a character set being a subset of a whole set of character codes shown in a character set content information memory 409 and a character set information memory 410. In addition, a content display device checks whether identification information of the character set included in the described content data coincides with identification information of a character set of installed external font and determines whether to be a displayable character set to thereby solve the problem, such as garbled characters when displayed.
