PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a power storage means in a short time without stopping sales in an automatic vending machine, and to operate the automatic vending machine for a long time by the power storage means when commercial power source stops, in the automatic vending machines having the power storage means charged by the commercial power, and always performing the sales and the operation by power supplied from the commercial power source. SOLUTION: By supplying the power to a second power supply circuit 7 by a power storage means 8 even if current consumption when the power is supplied to the second power supply circuit 7 by the current consumption decision means 10 is within a range of a rated current suppliable from the commercial power source, the power storage means 6a is charged. Accordingly, the power can be supplied to the power storage device 6a through the second power supply circuit 7 while operating the automatic vending machine within the range of the rated current suppliable from the commercial power, and the charging to the power storage device 6a can be completed in the short time.
