PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner simplified in its structure by eliminating uneven portions caused by a thick portion and a thin portion, and constituted not to increase ventilation resistance (windage loss) at a supply opening, and to provide right and left wind direction plates (vertical blade) used in the same. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner wherein the air sucked from a suction opening 1 exchanges heat by a heat exchanger 3, and is supplied from the supply opening 2 provided with the plurality of right and left wind direction plates 7 connected by connection rods 6, the right and left wind direction plates 7 are composed of connecting portions 8 connected by the connecting rods 6, mounting portions 9 mounted on the supply opening 2, and plate portions 10 of uniform thickness, elastically deformable from a rear end portion at a windward side to a front end portion at a leeward side.
