PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust apparatus for a straddle-type vehicle achieving miniaturization while meeting a noise reducing characteristic. SOLUTION: The exhaust apparatus 100 comprises an engine 50 and an exhaust section 100 having an exhaust pipe 20 connected to the engine 50 and a silencer 10, wherein the silencer 10 comprises an outer tube 10a and an inner tube 10b stored in the outer tube 10a, sound absorbing material 15 is arranged on an outer wall of the inner tube 10b in a manner to come into close contact therewith, and an air layer 19 is provided between an outer wall of the sound absorbing material 15 and an inner wall of the outer tube 10a.
