PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sign plate which can be fixed to a string-like material such as an operation rope. SOLUTION: When an operation rope 101 is placed on a guide section 12a of the sign plate 1, the operation rope 101 is guided by the guide section 12a and is made to run along a slit 12 of a main body. When the sign plate 1 is pushed toward the operation rope 101 while the operation rope 101 runs along the slit 12 of the main body, the operation rope 101 is put into the main body 10, and the operation rope 101 put into the main body 10 is inserted into and fixed to an insertion section 32. Since the sign plate 1 is fixed to the operation rope 101, it does not move along the operation rope 101 under the influence of wind or the like, is not worn thin by friction, or does not hinder the operation of untying the tied operation rope 101.
