The invention relates to a device for sealing a cover film onto a packaging tray (1) using a sealing device which is arranged downstream of a packaging tray feeder (2). Said feeder comprises a collector belt (3), driven by a motor (8) and being arranged upstream of the sealing device in relation to the direction of transport, a feeder belt (4), transporting the packaging trays to the collector belt and being driven by a motor (13) and having a sensor (10) arranged in the area of the feeder belt. The motors and the sensor transmits signals to a control unit which processes these signals in such a manner that the exact position of the respective packaging tray on the collector belt and the feeder belt is known at any time. The invention also relates to a method for sealing a cover film onto a packaging tray using a sealing device. |
