The device has a transducer magnet (1) fastened at a mechanical unit, and a sensor (7) e.g. field angle sensor, arranged lateral to a rotating unit, where the sensor detects a magnetic field angle in a plane perpendicular to a rotational axis. The magnet is magnetized perpendicular to the rotational axis diametrically or laterally. The magnet is formed as a rotation body consisting of two symmetric parts with same magnetization, where the parts are axially separated at a height of the sensor by a tapered magnetic area or a gap. The magnet consists of a plastic-bounded magnetic material.
