A cam shaft of an engine for a vehicle is provided to improve drive stability of the cam shaft, NVH(Noise, Vibration, Harshness) and durability by preventing axial movement of the cam shaft and locating a trust portion to a journal portion of the middle portion of the cam shaft. A cam shaft(22) of an engine for a vehicle comprises a pulley(sprocket) mounting portion, a pair of cams(26,28) and a journal portion. The pulley(sprocket) mounting portion is formed in a front end where a pulley for a timing belt(a pulley for a timing chain) is mounted. The pair of cams for driving air suction valves are disposed in a rear side with equal distance according the number of a cylinder. The journal portion is formed between the pair of the cams. |
