A lithium rechargeable battery is provided to improve shear strength of a hot melting part including a protective circuit board by forming at least one reinforcing part on the upside of a cap plate. A lithium rechargeable battery(200) includes an electrode assembly(220), a can(210) for accommodating the electrode assembly, and a cap assembly(230) which comprises a cap plate(240) and seals an upper opening of the can. A hot melting part comprising a protective circuit board is formed on the top of the cap plate. At least one reinforcing part(250) is formed on the upside of the cap plate to support the hot melting part. |
