LOAD CONTROL DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

It is possible to limit the number of requests which has been transmitted to a server (4) but has not yet received a response and is waiting for response. In order to perform this limit, if the number of requests waiting for response has reached a threshold value, the received requests are temporarily accumulated in a buffer and transmission of a request from the buffer is suspended until the number of requests waiting for response becomes lower than the threshold value. The execution state of the server (4) is monitored. When the response time of the server (4) to the request is within a permitted time, the threshold value is increased.When the response time of the server (4) to the request exceeds the permitted time, the threshold value is reduced. Furthermore, a TCP connection between a load control device (3) and a client (1-1, , 1-n) is integrated so that the number of simultaneous TCP connections between the server (4) and the load control device (3) is lower than the threshold value of the number of requests waiting for response.
