CALIBRATION ASSISTANCE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration assistance device capable of maintaining or improving accuracy of calibration with consideration of density variation among pages of calibration sheets.

SOLUTION: This calibration assistance device allows an image forming apparatus of a calibration target to form a plurality of calibration sheets including a plurality of color patches. The calibration assistance device estimates density variation among pages of respective calibration sheets based on a variation confirmation patch group by taking at least a part of the color patches formed on the plurality of calibration sheets as the variation confirmation patch group. The calibration assistance device selects the calibration sheet to be used in the calibration from the plurality of calibration sheets by using the estimated density variation among pages to provide the result of the selection to a user.
