<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the damage of both ends of a fixing roller and a bearing part by more rapidly discharging heat at both ends of the fixing roller, and also increasing image forming speed. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a toner image is formed on a sheet supplied successively, and fixed on the sheet by the heated fixing roller 921. The image forming apparatus is equipped with: a selection means for selecting the level of the heating temperature of the fixing roller 921; and a stopping means for temporarily stopping the supply of the sheet and the heating of the fixing roller 921 when the selection means selects the high heating temperature and the toner image is fixed on one sheet by the fixing roller 921. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
