PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging device capable of suppressing the increase of power consumption even when the number of pixels are increased or imaging is performed at higher speed. SOLUTION: The solid state imaging device 1 includes: a light receiving part 10 for imaging; a light receiving part 20 for a trigger; a line selecting part 30; a series selecting part 40; a voltage holding part 50; an output part 60; and a control part 70. Data for the trigger is read by the light receiving part 20 for the trigger, an integrating circuit 62, and an AD converting circuit 64 for the trigger before light incoming, and then, the light incoming is detected based on the data for the trigger. When the light incoming is detected, pixel data is read by the light receiving part 10 for imaging, the voltage holding part 50, a difference operational circuit 61, and an AD converting circuit 63 for imaging.
