PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a recording device which can record two-dimensional data showing information by a two-dimensional picture in a recording medium with different recording intervals. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device records page data with the prescribed intervals. Since the recording and reproducing device is provided with an information obtaining part 51 obtaining recording interval from the recording medium, a comparing part 53 setting interval for recording page data based on this recording interval, and a recording parameter setting part 56, so that the page data can be recorded with different intervals.
