PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency report system for notifying an emergency institution of a position information near the accident location even if equipment of a vehicle is completely destroyed by a serious accident. SOLUTION: A cellular phone 350 having a drive power source different from vehicle equipment 310 periodically obtains a current position of the vehicle by a short-range radio communication with the vehicle equipment 310, to be stored in the cellular phone 350. When the vehicle equipment 310 is wrecked due to an accident and communication is disabled, periodic communication is interrupted.
